Ashton-under-Lyne - Cafe Mozaic

If ever you're anywhere near Ashton-under-Lyne, I can recommend a visit to Cafe Mozaic.  It's a café cum deli specialising in Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine.

There's a café at the back:
or, if you prefer, you can order a takeaway from the front.  There's hommus, tabouleh, zatziki and spicy carrots to choose from:
and lemon chilli chicken, chicken swararma, spicy lamb and lamb kefta skewer:
There's also falafel and other options for vegetarians.

I had a starter of flatbreads and hommus:
I couldn't decide what I wanted for a main course, so was given a little bit of everything:
and everything I had tasted was fantastic.

There was a constant queue, whilst I was there, for wraps:
which the owner, Abdeljalil, known to everyone as AJ:
and his staff make to order.  They also do boxes:
So you can recreate an authentic Moroccan experience at home.

They'll even sell you a Tagine:
so that you can pretend you've created it yourself!

I throughly recommend this place, prices are a bargain and nothing is too much trouble for AJ, who wants you to share his love for Moroccan food.

Never new that there was a restaurant in Ashton that catered for this sort of cuisine. I gave it a try and it was fantastic.
Its a credit to the owners as its a niche in ashton quality food, give it a try.
